Stingy rich, Maldivian Business men in our Parliament voting and passing their monthly income to more than half a lakh a month is “immoral,” “excessive,” “unfair and are committing a selfish fraudulent act.

MISDD working for the average Maldivian call on the stooges in our Parliament to apologise for voting to raise their monthly income to nearly seventy thousand and this issue to be handled by an independent government and citizen representative commission immediately.

We are the citizen of Maldivian who has been robbed in broad daylight by parliamentarian that we appointed to serve for the betterment of our life. Instead they are seeking corruptive self absorbed methods to better themselves and their private life, as if there excessive personal wealth already is not enough.  Today’s approval by the parliamentary members to seek an income of seventy thousand per month is immoral and all Maldivian need to put a petition against it and force their individual atoll Parliamentary representatives to reverse this act immediately with a public apology added to it. Why Delegates should let Obama win the Democratic candidacy

Hilary Clinton has send Chesea and Bill Clinton to campaign in Puerto Rico days before the polling date and Obama spend just one full day in PR. Hillary’s apparant strategy to portray herself as someone who can relate to the needs of middle and lower class American citizen has helped her to gain her lead in popular votes and earn seven states compared to Obama’s six.
However this tactic it seems is seethrough to the delegates and super delegates and what other reason could there be for delegates to prefer Obama (some of them abondon her) and join the Obama camp. The delegates are been not only wise but trying to ractify the mistake of gullible democrat white middle class and lower class voters.

The winning formula of the common vote should not be let to become the  wining formula for  luring the unpledged delegates as; if that happen the inevitable downfall of Hillary will be the downfall of the democrats. Despite Clinton Camp, trying to bend the rules using her majority in popular vote and her appeal to the common white voters as the case for why the party should let her become the candidate, the truth is before November Clinton as a candidate had more venues for downfall than Obama. While the worst days for Obama is over with the pending Clinton critcism like the Vanity Fair article yet to hit the media Clinton’s tendency to win the ultimate is breakable and is a high gamble Democrats should shy away from.
The clear lead in the popular vote does not mean anything as there is plenty of time for Obama to  turn things around before  the  Presidnetial Race to the White House in November and Clinton is more prone to bad days ahead while Obama has already been through the worst. The folly of relating to the lowerclass and middle class voters and portraying the role of been a good host as the First lady; as experience in “forigen  relation” will be scrutnaised if Hillary is to go that far as November and perhaps there will be more dirty laundry to be aired before November to discredit Hilary’s “togetherness and empathy” with average white voters.
The Vanity Fair article that attacks the former president Bill Clinton Hillery’s husband, will be  baggage added to defamation of a Husband whose infidilities are partly related to questionable fullfillment of wifely duties by Hillary. The Clinton article to hit the news stands next week suggests Bill Clinton  as out of control personally and consumed by “cavernous narcissism”. Yet to come out to the Publics attention sometime next week, this could be the inaugration of what Obama already has been through. If a harmless affliation with a certain church can be used by Bias media, the likes of Fox; imagine what  an unbiased well known magzine such as Vanity Fair can do with a real expose’ of Hillary and Bill. In addition to this the writer of this article is non other than a personality, who had covered Clinton for 16 years and moreover has the first hand experience about the Clintons that came with,  been married to the former Clinton’s press secretary Dee Dee Myres.
If this pending article about Bill gets publsihed this could be the beginning of related scrutinies and negative campaign about the Clintons, and perhaps if Hilary is given the chance to become the Democrat nominee the end of another great journey by the Democrats to the White House third time in a row.

There is only one way or the highway for Democrats. The unpledged delegates should not give into the facade created by the Clinton campaign that has led to gullible Americans to vote for her and let her lead the popular vote. The delegates should put on their thinking hat and let a real winner lead the party to the White House. Obama is the one for Democrats. Change the American need; change America desperately needs to console the world. Obama as the Democrat candidate is the epitome of this and all the make over  that the Democrats and America need to make History,

The Employment Act is a huge step forward: A Major Contribution to Democratizing the Public and Private Sector of Employment in the Maldives.

It was only today that I was talking to an employee who was working in the tourism sector in a privately owned resort. He was expressing his dissatisfaction about not having a labour law in the Maldives. I am sure any of us similar to him particularly working in the private sector has many grievances about not been able to have the securities that are needed in any kind of employment. Read more »

The coalition Presidential Candidate Question?

cimg0465.jpg

Khaulath Mohamed

NUA was a coalition of political parties founded by the three ex cabinet members who does not belong to any political parties of the NUA. This makes it problematic to find a fit for themselves. In addition to this while the three ex cabinet members are the epitome of NUA there had been conflicting reports that the three of them had departed to Laamu atoll to start DR Hassan Saeed’s Presidential campaign under the banner of New Maldives a name that represented President Maumoon’s young cabinet and the democratic reform agenda. While the legality of using this name is questionable this decision of the three founder members of NUA seriously casts doubts over the political parties attempt to desperately hang on to each other and NUA. There is also the question of MDP’s manipulative and dominant role in the NUA and their motives over the fact despite been the main opposition party and despite of having chosen a Presidential Candidate why the party is trying to hang on to the umbrella of NUA.

As Someone who abandoned the democratic aspiration of our country in order to fulfil Presidential ambitions Dr Hassan is not fit for Presidecy

The new President of Maldives need to be some one who we can trusted to consolidate democracy, tolerance and multi-partyism in Maldives and implement the policies that will benefit the Maldivian by working closely with political parties. Dr Hassan abandoned all this and gave his back to the positive role he could have played during the transition phase in order to rather hurry with his Presidential ambitions. Despite his excuses we all know that this is the real truth behind his actions and behaviour. Read more »
